What a weekend.
Friday night a group of CHS ‘60 classmates got together at The Public House Restaurant at Warehouse Row. It was the annual Christmas dinner. One of the good things about these gatherings is you get to talk and meet with classmates and their spouses you did not know particularly well before.
And it seemed that there were new faces there. Or it could be I just don’t see everyone at the large five and ten year gatherings. Anyway, it was a lot of fun seeing old friends and spending time with them.
Sunday, I saw more of our former classmates at the UTC graduation ceremony. Most of them asked if one of my grandchildren was graduating. No, just a late scholar son. The McKenzie Arena or “Roundhouse” was packed. The speeches were long, the processions and recessions even longer, but it was worth it to see him finally get that diploma.
In January the planning committee will meet again. We hope to start mailing out notices of the 50th Reunion after that. Help us out. If you haven’t sent in your email address by now, do it. You can also send us your street address and phone number. We like to keep in touch.
Please check out the missing classmate’s list. If you can help us find some, do. Better, find them for us and then tell us where we can contact them.
